Hope we get a REAL Rayman 4 someday.Īccording to gamers over on a certain Rayman community (one which shall not be named specifically due to hosting copyrighted roms/isos), this is now out on the App store. I'm a huge fan of the classic pre-Rabbids Rayman games, and I hope this attention to old games means Rayman will return to form sometime soon. I think a proper remake for HD consoles or Wii would be a better thing. Rayman 2 looks good to this day, especially the PC version played in high resolution. Well it's a nice technical achievement at least. Which is a darn shame, it looked like they successfully ported the graphic and sound. iPhone has no such thing, and uses onscreen buttons and controls. One of the best mind you, but the REASON it was so spectacular back in 1999 was due to the analog stick. iPhone of course has no buttons, and this is a 3D platformer. Only problem which i'm already sure will be a big problem is the control scheme. It's one of those two though, since those are the only two versions in which Rayman had fully modeled fingers (besides the PS2 version, which this clearly isn't). Seems to be based on either the PC or Dreamcast version, likely the former. From what i've seen, the game looks very smooth and just as good looking as the original. Rayman 2 The Great Escape is now being ported to the iPhone, and is being released on March 1st, just a few days from now.
